Rack Load Is Not a Single Number

A rack-load value only becomes meaningful when its test conditions are known. Two pallets carrying the same mass can deflect very differently if the rack beams are farther apart, the load is concentrated, or the warehouse operates at a higher temperature.

Define the support condition

Record the clear span, beam width, contact position and whether the pallet is supported by two beams, rails or a shuttle platform. A drawing is more reliable than a generic phrase such as “used on rack.”

Define time and temperature

HDPE responds to sustained load and temperature. State the maximum dwell time and operating range, including cold-room or hot-season conditions.

Confirm the whole configuration

The model, pallet weight, steel-tube quantity, tube location and load pattern belong on the same approved sheet. Use a representative sample and an agreed test method before mass production.
