How to Specify a Pallet for Conveyors and Shuttles
Automated handling depends on repeatable interfaces. Start with conveyor type, roller or chain pitch, pallet travel direction, transfer points and locator geometry.
Check the bottom pattern
Runner positions must maintain stable contact throughout movement. Confirm that openings, ribs and steel tubes do not conflict with chains, rollers, stops or lifting elements.
Check sensing and centering
Share sensor position, expected target surface and any centering mechanism. Color and surface geometry can affect optical detection.
Approve by interface
Review a dimensional drawing, then run a sample through all critical transitions under a representative unit load. A successful static test alone does not prove conveyor compatibility.
